Six must-see MTBs at this month's London Bike Show

The London Bike Show returns to ExCeL London from 29 to 31 March, with over 300 of the biggest brands due to showcase their latest bikes, kit and accessories. There'll be tons of gleaming new machines on show – here are six that are making a buzz and MTB fans should make a beeline for.

1 Calibre's new hard-hitter

One highlight to look out for is Calibre's new enduro bike. The Sheffield-based brand have already made a name for themselves producing super-capable, competitively-priced bikes, and now they're taking on the high-performance market too. The London Bike Show will be your first chance to see this mystery machine in the flesh.

2 The Athertons' debut DH bike

The fastest family in mountain biking have launched their own bike brand, and they'll be bringing the first fruits of their labour along to the ExCeL centre. Expect titanium-lugged carbon fibre construction, race-honed geometry and a throng of drooling MTBers eager to check it out. Rachel, Gee and Dan will all be speaking on stage too.

3 Marin's radical-looking Mount Vision

After a mixed response to their first bike using the 'R3ACT – 2 Play' suspension system (the Wolf Ridge), Marin have refined the design and re-envisioned the Mount Vision as a 650b-wheeled, 150mm-travel enduro machine, which they say "embodies the true spirit of mountain bikes".

4 GT's 29in-wheeled Fury downhill bike

6 Vitus's E-Sommet VR e-bike

Pedal-assist bikes are the biggest thing in mountain biking right now, with the technology only getting better and more affordable. There are going to be tonnes of them at this year's show, but few as burly as this one. Vitus's E-Sommet pairs its electric motor with enduro-ready geometry and hardcore kit, including a RockShox Lyrik fork and SRAM's super-powerful Guide RE stoppers. Sample it for yourself in the show's e-bike test arena.
